Joseph Elworthy (Cello)

Described by the Boston Globe as, "An extraordinary cellist", "a consummate instrumentalist", Joseph Elworthy has garnered critical acclaim for his interpretive insight and technical prowess. Elworthy has been a featured soloist, recitalist, and chamber musician throughout the world, performing on such stages as Suntory Hall, Alice Tully Hall, the Library of Congress, Carnegie Hall and Seojong Hall. Joseph is a graduate from Yale University and the Juilliard School, studying with esteemed pedagogue, Aldo Parisot. Mr. Elworthy is currently Cello Instructor, Director of Chamber Music, and Director of Chamber Strings at the Vancouver Academy of Music. He has been a member of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra since 2002.
