Dear Friends,
Since the early 1960′s the Vancouver Philharmonic Orchestra has been committed to enriching lives through the shared experience of live music. For the 2011-12 concert season, our Music Director Jin Zhang has planned a wonderful five-concert series guaranteed to challenge and inspire us all.
The VPO is a non-profit, volunteer-driven organization that supports professional and amateur musicians. In addition to ticket sales, we rely on the support and generosity of our orchestra members, our audience, volunteers and community partners to ensure that we have the financial resources to present artistically excellent concerts.
Through a combination of increased ticket sales, careful moderation of expenses and an increase in donations we continue to operate with a balanced budget. Donations of any size are sincerely appreciated and are instrumental to everything the VPO does.
